Mr. Ricardo Montalban (second from right), the famous Mexican movie actor and radio personality, today visited United Nations Headquarters where he was the special guest of the U.N. Radio Division. While at Headquarters, Mr. Montalban participated in a specially recorded broadcast over the facilities of UN Radio of the Spanish version of “The Letter in the Saucer”, a play written by Norman Corwin which will shortly be presented over UN Radio and the stations of the UN Network for Peace throughout the world, and in which he plays the principal role. Mr. Alec Guinness, another famous screen personality, will have this role in the English version.
Seen here with Mr. Montalban in a UN Radio studio during the broadcast are (left to right): Miss Marie de Souza, Mr. Pat Bastianos, Mr. Luis Carlos Sanchez, Mr. Sed Moy, all of the UN Radio Division, and Mr. Carlos J. Montalban, brother of the movie actor.
