The increased recognition in the Sudan of nursing as a career for young women soon will be evident when the first group of Sudanese girls completes a three-year course in nursing and nursing administration. The aim of this Government project in to prepare selected young women for leading positions in the country’s health programmes, and who are able to instruct other Sudanese in this important profession. Four nurse educators and administrative assistants have been provided by the World Health Organization as well as teaching equipment and supplies.
