Caption Description The American Anthropologist Margaret Mead (centre) today was presented with the latest CERES medal, struck in her honour as part of the Food and Agriculture Organization's series highlighting International Women's Year. Bronze and silver versions of the medal were presented by T.N. Saraf (right), Deputy Representative of FAO at the United Nations, in the presence of Mrs. Helvi Sipila, Assistant UN Secretary-General for Social Development and Humanitarian Affairs, and Secretary-General of the forthcoming World Conference on International Women's Year in Mexico City.
