Third Time Internally Displaced People Arrives in Yei, South Sudan
Caption Description
Over 1300 individuals, including some unaccompanied children, have been displaced from the villages of Pisak and Logo, in Otogo county, South Sudan. It is the third time that these people have been displaced since June 2018. They arrived in Yei town during the second week of March. Unable to bring any personal belongings, they live in dire conditions, with food shortages, no proper health care, and interrupted education for the children. The Yei Episcopal Bishop, Hilary Luate Adeba, is hosting the displaced on land belonging to the church. Local government, together with local and international NGOs, have been provided essential food and other items, as well as some basic health care.
