A recital entitled “Markings and Music” took place at UN headquarters to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the United Nations and to pay tribute to the late Secretary-General Dag Hammarskjöld. The event featured readings by Deputy Secretary-General Jan Eliasson from “Markings”, Hammarskjöld’s book of 1963, with interludes of music by Swedish pianist Per Tengstrand.
