The ‘Globe to Globe’ performance of the play at the UN coincides with the launch of the United Kingdom’s Presidency of the Security Council for the month of August. The Globe intends to stage the production in all 193 member countries of the UN between 23 April 2014 (450 years since Shakespeare was born) and 23 April 2016 (400 years since Shakespeare died). Also briefing journalists were Dominic Dromgoole, Artistic Director of Shakespeare’s Globe; and cast members Rawiri Paratene and Ladi Emeruwa.
