The General Assembly’s Special committee of 17, on implementation of the 1960 Declaration on Colonialism, this morning heard a statement by Kenneth Kaunda, President of Northern Rhodesia’s United National independence Party. Earlier, the committee agreed to grant the oral hearing to Mr. Kaunda and members of a group with him in New York; and discussed a question related to working papers, prepared by the Secretariat, containing information on Northern Rhodesia and Nyasaland.
