Increasing Productivity
Caption Description
At the “La Lorena” plant in Masaya some 300 pairs of shoes are turned out daily by the 120 employees who were trained at the plant. This represents a considerable increase in production for this shoe factory and was accomplished with technical advice on methods and semi-automatic devices from the International Labour Organization (ILO).
The boxes, at right of worker, carry the pieces from this stage of production down the assembly line, one of the time-saving methods introduced. [No exact date]
