The 7th Technical Assistance Pledging Conference came to a close this afternoon after 63 countries had pledged an amount equivalent to $29,245,772 to the 1957 Expanded Program of Technical Assistance. A few countries were unable to announce their contributions at this time, because of administrative or legislative reasons. Last year 61 countries pledged the equivalent of $28,031,536.
This picture shows Pyo Wook Han, Representative of the Republic of Korea, signing the Final Act of the Conference. Standing beside him is Mr. David Owen, Executive Chairman of the Technical Assistance Board (TAB). The Republic of Korea pledged the equivalent of (US) $3,500.
