Headline Trusteeship Council Hears Petitioners on Togoland Unification Problem
Caption Description This photograph shows the three spokesmen at the petitioners' table in the Council chamber.  They are (l. to r.):  Mr. Solomon Togbe Fleku, of the Convention People's Party, Southern Togoland Section; Mr. Joseph Henry Allassani, of the Dagomba District Council in Northern Togoland; and Mr. Jacob Kwadwo Mensah, of the Buem-Krachi District Council.  All three spokesmen opposed unification with French Togoland, hoping instead for union with the British Gold Coast, which has already developed self-governing institutions.
