Brazilian Mural for U.N. General Assembly Lobby
Caption Description
Last year, the United Nations accepted an offer of the Government of Brazil to provide two large murals for the delegates’ lobby of the General Assembly building. The murals, a gift of the Brazilian Government, have been designed by the famous Brazilian artist, Mr. Candido Portinari, and will cover the huge east-west walls of the South lobby, each measuring 34 by 45 feet.
This is a photographic reproduction from one of the sketches of the murals submitted to be United Nations Board of Art Advisers for approval. [No exact date]
