Photographic reproduction of the original manuscript of the Preamble to the Charter of the United Nations, prepared for printing. The Charter was drawn up and signed at the United Nations Conference on International Organization (San Francisco Conference), which met at San Francisco from 25 April to 26 June 1945. It came into force on 24 October 1945, when China, France, the USSR, the United Kingdom and the United States and a majority of other signatories had ratified it. [Exact date unknown]
The Preamble to the United Nations Charter (Portuguese version) expresses the ideals and the common aims of all the peoples whose governments joined together to form the United Nations.
