Caption Description The Security Council continued this afternoon its consideration of the situation in Southern Rhodesia.  Statements were made by the representatives of the Niger, the Soviet Union, Jamaica, and China, all members of the Council, and by Somalia, Cuba, Viet Nam, Algeria, Yugoslavia, and Zaire, which are non-members.  In addition, a statement was made by a representative of the African National Congress of South Africa (ANC), under rule 39 of the Council’s provisional rules of procedure.
