Caption Description The Government of the Republic of Korea has been attempting to strengthen its public health services. The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) is providing supplies, equipment, transport, drugs and diet supplements for 150 health centres and 300 medical clinics, as well as equipment, stipends and honoraria for the training programme.
Mothers register their babies at the Mother and Child Clinic in the Health Centre in Seoul. The Clinic has a doctor and four nurses. Up to fifty mothers and babies visit the clinics each day.
