Headline
More Troops for the Unified Forces in Korea
Caption Description
The men of the expeditionary force contributed by Ethiopia to the Unified Forces in Korea landed at a South Korean port on 6 May 1951. Arriving on the same ship, after a three-week voyage, were replacement troops for Dutch, Greek and Thailand forces already engaged in the Korean action. This picture shows Colonel Amman Andom (left) who commanded the Ethiopian unit aboard the ship, and the Major A. C. Van Der Meyd, Dutch Commander, still holding the flowers they were presented by the welcoming party.
