Caption Description
Ambassador Henri Hoppenot, Permanent Representative of France to the United Nations, addressing teachers in the General Assembly Hall at U.N. Headquarters this afternoon.
The programme was arranged by the U.N. and the National Education Association in connection with the NEA's 92nd annual convention, in New York City this week. Some 15,000 teachers from all parts of the United States and about 100 educators from 30 other countries are expected to take part in the convention and the visits to U.N. Headquarters.
This is the first of seven such sessions to be held here, and at which talks will be given by U.N. delegates from 10 countries, high U.N. official, Secretariat members, and a number of United States educators.
