Participants in the United Nations Conference on New Sources of Energy, which opened in Rome on 21 August, today paid an official visit to the Larderello geothermal installations here. They were the luncheon guests of the Larderello firm and were later conducted on a tour of the installations.
Three of the participants are photographed as they toured the installations. In the background are some of the cooling towers of the plant which produces electricity by means of natural steam.
