Headline United Arab Republic Represented on UN Trusteeship Council 
Caption Description At today's meeting of the United Nations Trusteeship Council, the representative of the new United Arab Republic, Mr. Zaki Kenawi, took his place at the Council table between the representatives of the United Kingdom and the USSR. This place on the Council previously occupied by the representative of Syria.  (Syria and Egypt became a single state as a result of a plebiscite held in both countries in February.)
In this photograph, Mrs. C. Abdelmoor, the Conference Officer of the Trusteeship Council, is substituting the nameplate of the United Arab Republic for that of Syria.
