UN Korean Reconstruction Agency Concludes Work
Caption Description
After completing a $150,000,000 programme of economic and social aid financed mainly by voluntary contributions from 40 governments, the UN Korean Reconstruction Agency (UNKRA) ceased to exist today. The Agency's five-nation Advisory Committee held a final meeting this afternoon and heard a closing statement by the UNKRA Administrator, Brig. Gen. Harold E. Eastwood (U.S. Army, Retired). Here, from left to right, are: General Eastwood; Mr. James McLean, UNKRA Comptroller (Chief of Office); and Mr. Hilis (United Kingdom), Chairman.
