Caption Description
The Security Council met today to unanimously adopt resolution 1432 (2002) to extend for a further 90 days its 17 May suspension of travel restricitions on senior officials of the Uniao Nacional para a Independencia de Angole (UNITA). The Council also decided that prior to the end of the 90-day period, it might consider reviewing its decision. The resolution is aimed at encouraging peace and reconciliation in Angola.
