Maslakh (Internally Displaced Persons or IDPs) Camp is named after a once thriving business (Maslakh translates as slaughterhouse). Situated near the western Afghan city of Herat, it is home to more than 350,000 displaced Afghans according to the official count from the time of Taliban rule.

Headline Maternity Care in the Philippines 
Caption Description To give the best possible care to expectant mothers and new-born children, the Republic of the Philippines has established many new obstetrical and medical services. They include new training programmes for midwives, as well as prenatal  and home care for mothers. The World Heath Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) are assisting these national programmes or health and welfare.
