Caption Description The decoration of the Security Council chamber,  which was offered as a gift to the Organization by the Norwegian Government, is by Arnstein Arnebers, a Norwegian architect. This picture was taken from the press gallery; some of the seats used by the correspondents can be seen in the foreground. The large mural, behind the horseshoe-shaped Council table, is by Per Krohg, the well-known Norwegian artist. The table at centre is for the verbatim reporters, consecutive interpreters and other members of the UN Secretariat staff.
