The General Assembly received a draft resolution asking the Assembly to call again for the early convening of the Geneva Peace Conference on the Middle East under the auspices of the UN and "with the participation on an equal footing of all parties concerned, including the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO)". Zehdi Labib Terzi, Permanent Observer of the PLO to the UN, addressing the Assembly.

By agreement between Israel and Jordan, an UN-escorted convoy carrying food, other necessities, and exchange personnel to the Israeli humanitarian and cultural institutions on Mount Scopus, leaves Mandelbaum Square every two week. Manifests are tiled with the United Nations and with Jordanian authorities. Before departure the contents of the convoy are examined by personnel of the UN Truce Supervision Organization (UNTSO) in the presence of both Jordanian and Israeli authorities. Headline Gaza Strip Turned Over to UNEF 
Caption Description ""UNEF troops are now in position in all camps and centers of population in the Gaza Strip"". This communiqué issue today by Gen. Burns, Commander of UNEF, added that the movement into Gaza had been carried out according to plan and without incidents. A long column of Danish, Norwegian, Indian, Colombian and Swedish troops of UNEF started to move into the strip, past an Israeli checkpoint, yesterday evening, during a sandstorm that was followed by rain squalls. Later, Gen. Dayan, Chief of Staff of the Israeli Army, handed over control of the city of Gaza to Col. Walter Lindqvist, of the UN Force, and the Israeli units started their withdrawal across the border. Tonight, UNEF was in full control of the Gaza Strip.
